My personal experiences and interests outside of my work.

“Life is not the way it's supposed to be, it's the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference” ― Virginia Satir

Having spent a number of years personally exploring life through the lens of  Buddhism and Mindfulness, although I do not profess to be any kind of an expert, I use these skills and techniques in my work with clients and others.

What orientates me is an interest in the stories we tell about ourselves and how this constructed sense of self can become a prison.  We are not the stories we tell, nor what we hear of ourselves.  Finding alternative stories alongside clients and families can be extremely powerful.

My Interests:

A little bit about me outside of work:

I live in central Bristol with my partner Ali and our Cocker Spaniel, Ronnie. I enjoy restoring vintage motorcycles , and can be either found with friends riding motorcycles, or covered in grease and oil whilst carrying out tasks of never ending maintenance!

When not working on motorbikes, I enjoy the coast, nature, walking and I am an avid bird watcher.

I use mindfulness, yoga, and exercise to manage my own wellbeing.
